Welcome to the Travels section of the White Blooming Tulip website!

Yet another travel blog?

Well, yes and no.

While you may find some elements that are common to most travel blogs, I tried to add my personal touch to these pages.

First, the focus is not on me but on our beautiful planet and its incredible nature. The main subject here is how traveling can be an enriching life experience when we try to understand the diversity and equilibrium of the world around us, and when we understand how small we are compared to that.

Second, I enjoy doing some research before each trip, and I’m happy to share my findings and personal experience with you. While rankings of top attractions and historical digressions can easily be found everywhere, you can get a more personal insight by looking at the direct feedback from other travellers.

Sometimes I have the impression that travelling is like a drug: the more I travel, the more I starve for further traveling. I want to see more, learn more. Every journey changes the way I perceive the world and the people around me and gives a different perspective to my daily life. The idea behind these pages is also to connect with people who share the same passion for travelling that I have.

I totally agree with the person that said that “the world is too big for one lifetime” and I believe that everyone looks for something different when traveling. Personally, I love nature, with its breathtaking landscapes and stunning wildlife, but I’m also strongly intrigued by history, cultures and languages. I love exploring old and abandoned ruins of ancient populations, visiting colourful local markets of fruits and vegetables, walking in a lively big square, or simply listening to the stories about customs and traditions of far and near countries.
